Review: Pink and Green Skincare

Updated: Aug 3, 2022

Whilst I am primarily known as a Sports Massage Therapist, I have for some time now offered Holistic Facials.

What are Holistic Facials?

Holistic and conventional facials share a similar routine of cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturising – however, the similarities generally stop there. Holistic facials avoid the use of harsh chemicals and processes and use organic, natural, non-toxic products.

Because our skin absorbs a large percentage of what we put on it, products shouldn’t contain synthetic preservatives, perfumes, colours or petroleum-based ingredients. All-natural, organic products are generally more skin-friendly and less likely to cause irritation. Products used in holistic facials are generally cruelty-free as well.

Holistic facials use massage instead of machines When doing holistic facials we don’t use procedures like microdermabrasion. These techniques are often too harsh for sensitive skin and over time can cause the skin to become even more sensitive. We generally opt for facial massage instead. Facial massage improves circulation, removes toxins and stimulates the production of collagen, keeping skin looking younger and healthier. It can also ease headache pain, reduce stress overall, and relieve sinus and nasal congestion.

Holistic facials don’t include extractions By using carefully selected organic products, oils and dirt are brought to the surface of the skin and removed during a holistic facial. By using a machine or manually clearing clogged pores, you may actually cause breakouts and the skin can be damaged. Steaming is also generally not used in holistic facials.

Holistic facials are great for sensitive skin Holistic facials are good for any skin type, but especially for those with sensitive skin. Without the use of harsh chemicals, machinery or forceful techniques, holistic facials are well suited for those with more delicate skin.

I came across Pink and Green Skincare just by chance. I was looking for a new product that was Vegan and Organic and didn't want to go down the Big Names route. After a bit of Googleing, Pink and Green showed up, and low and behold they are in Wiltshire, not far from where I live, so I obviously had to go and check them outl

Carol, the founder, was so helpful, she put together a starter kit for me and even delivered it by hand - which was lovely.

Two days after delivery I gave my first facial using the products - they smell totally fantastic.

I currently have the Mandarin Cleanser, Gentle Exfoliator, Facial Oil, Chocolate and Rose Face Mask (you want to lick it off the brush), Floral Rose Water Toner, Eye Love Serum and Frankincense Luxury Organic Facial Moisturiser - can you imagine how wonderful the facial experience is? There is also the One Balm that can be used for everything from cleanser, moisturiser, lip balm, eyebrow tamer and heel softener.....amongst other things.

My client was thrilled and said that it left her skin feeling beautiful. I even treated myself to a mini facial after work, just to try the products out and yes, they live up to expectations.

Please visit the site and read Carol's story and background into the brand - I am so pleased I found her and am supporting a small company.
